\n A subway rider was slashed in the face when an argument on a Manhattan train turned violent Saturday night, police said.<\/p>\n

The victim was attacked by two men he had exchanged words with on the downtown 4 train \u2014 getting punched by one and sliced by the other, the NYPD said.<\/p>\n

It app<\/a>ears the injured man didn\u2019t know the two attackers prior to the fight, sources said.<\/p>\n

When the train stopped at the Grand Central 42nd Street station at around 10:15 p.m., the fight spilled out onto the platform\u2013 with other straphangers holding back one of the assailants, who was arrested.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the other attacker, who was wearing a short blue jacket, took off and was still on the loose early Sunday, according to cops and sources.<\/p>\n

The victim was expected to recover.<\/p>\n

An MTA worker at the station described the gory scene to The Post, saying that, \u201cThey sliced his face. He was bleeding.\u201d<\/p>\n
