You can even remove apps from the Home screen entirely and access them solely via the App Library. Siri will also prioritize your most-used apps, so they\u2019re always ready and waiting.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Access_the_App_Library\"><\/span>How to Access the App Library<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can find the App Library on your iPhone\u2019s very last Home screen. To get to it, unlock your iPhone and swipe left until you see the search bar and neatly organized stacks of apps.<\/p>\n<p>At the top left, you\u2019ll see Siri\u2019s \u201cSuggestions.\u201d Siri analyses your behavior and suggests apps that are relevant for that time of day. For example, if you often check the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> in the morning, Siri will put your favorite news apps here at that time. These are the same Siri Suggestions you see when you swipe down to access the regular iOS search bar from the Home screen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-701224 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/app_library.png\" alt=\"An iOS 14 App Library and the Search bar.\" width=\"650\" height=\"484\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also see a category to the right of this one that contains \u201cRecently Added\u201d apps, so you can quickly find any new apps you\u2019ve installed. Just tap any app to launch it im<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>tely.<\/p>\n<p>You can also tap a cluster of smaller apps to see all the apps in that category. It\u2019s not possible to rename or recategorize these apps yourself, however; Siri uses App Store information to group the apps together.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Search_for_Apps\"><\/span>How to Search for Apps<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you tap the search box at the top of the App Library, you\u2019ll see a list of every app installed on your iPhone. To search for a specific app, start typing its name, category (like \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>s\u201d), or developer (like \u201cMicrosoft\u201d) in the search box to see relevant results.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-701225 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/search_app_library.png\" alt=\"Type app info in the App Library search box.\" width=\"650\" height=\"403\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>You can also scroll through the entire list of apps or use the quick-picker on the right to jump to a particular letter. When you find the app you want, just tap it to launch or tap and hold it to see context-based options.<\/p>\n<p>You can also delete apps this way. Simply search for the app you want to delete, tap and hold it, and then tap \u201cDelete App.\u201d This solves the pre-iOS 14 problem of losing an app in a folder you created and never being able to find it again when you wanted to delete it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-701226 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/delete_app_library.png\" alt=\"Tap &quot;Delete App&quot; in the context menu.\" width=\"650\" height=\"406\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t have to use the App Library to search for an app, though. You can also swipe down to open the Spotlight search box and Siri Suggestions on your iPhone\u2019s Home screen. This is the quickest way to launch an app on your iPhone if it\u2019s not in the Dock or on the main Home screen.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Use_the_App_Library_to_Tidy_Up_Your_Home_Screen\"><\/span>Use the App Library to Tidy Up Your Home Screen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>With all your apps neatly organized by Apple, you can remove anything you don\u2019t want on your Home screen to make way for larger widgets. To hide an app on the Home screen, just tap and hold it to open the context menu, and then tap \u201cRemove App.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be asked if you just want to remove the app from the Home screen or delete it from your iPhone entirely. Any apps you remove from the Home screen, you can add back later. To do so, just tap and hold them in the App Library, and then tap \u201cAdd to Home Screen\u201d in the context menu.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"admonishment_note\"><p><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you don\u2019t have any space on your last Home screen, newly downloaded apps are added to the App Library.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If you don\u2019t want to comb through all your apps, you can hide all the Home screens you don\u2019t need. To do so, tap and hold an app, and then tap \u201cEdit Home Screen.\u201d Tap the gray bar at the bottom to open \u201cEdit Pages,\u201d and then uncheck any Home screens you want to hide.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-701227 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/edit_pages.png\" alt=\"The &quot;Edit Pages&quot; menu.\" width=\"650\" height=\"622\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>You can re-add your custom Home screen layouts in the \u201cEdit Pages\u201d menu, as well. Just tap and hold an app and select \u201cEdit Home Screen\u201d from the menu. Then, tap the gray bar at the bottom and select any pages you want to enable.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Just_Like_Androids_App_Drawer\"><\/span>Just Like Android\u2019s App Drawer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Apple\u2019s resistance to a proper, Android-style app drawer lasted for years, but we\u2019re glad the company finally caved. Not only are widgets more useful than endless screens of icons, but people can also now go fully minimalist and rock a single Home screen.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Where_Is_the_App_Library_on_iPad\"><\/span>Where Is the App Library on iPad?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The iPhone received the App Library with iOS 14, but, as of iPadOS 14, the iPad doesn\u2019t have the App Library at all. It didn\u2019t receive\u00a0the new Home screen widgets feature, either.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re not sure why this is, but perhaps the App Library will debut on the iPad with iPadOS 15 in 2021.
