\n The internet is struggling to come up with the perfect male equivalent of \u201cKaren\u201d \u2014 the slang term for an entitled, obnoxious, middle-aged white woman.<\/p>\n

The quest started after \u201cSan Francisco Karen\u201d (aka Lisa Alexander, the CEO of a San Francisco-based skin care company) and her boyfriend, wealth manager Robert Larkin, harassed James Juanillo for stenciling \u201cBlack Lives Matter\u201d on his own property last week.<\/p>\n

Twitter<\/a> user @USMCLiberal set off a firestorm when he tweeted out to his 62,000 followers: \u201cI think the male version of a \u2018Karen\u2019 should be a \u2018Jeremy\u2019. Anyone object \u2014 besides Jeremy?\u201d<\/p>\n

People were not in love with the idea, as @Daeg420 noted: \u201cJeremy is too chill to be a karen \u2026 I would say that Bret seems to embody privilege and rage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jason, Scott and Tucker got a few votes, as did \u201cDwight, but spelled, D\u2019white,\u201d an idea started by @VAVoter2020.<\/p>\n

Another tweeter, @mamgonefishing, suggested, I think it should be \u2018Todd\u2019. Just ask George Carlin\u201d and linked to Carlin\u2019s epic sketch rant that starts: \u201cI\u2019m getting really sick of guys named Todd.\u201d<\/p>\n

And then there was the suggestion from @HumanRainDelay1, who suggested \u201cBrandon,\u201d linking to \u201cconservative activist\u201d Brandon Straka\u2019s epic twitter tantrum after he was kicked off an American Airlines flight for refusing to wear a mask.<\/p>\n
