\n DC Comics is weighing whether to sue the Proud Boys after the far-right group used the publisher\u2019s logo in ads for an upcoming rally in Washington, DC, according to a new report.<\/p>\n

The comics giant and its owner Warner Bros. Entertainment are \u201cinvestigating\u201d the Proud Boys\u2019 unauthorized use of its \u201cDC\u201d logo, reps for DC Entertainment said in a letter obtained by Business Insider<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The gang \u2014 whose members describe themselves as \u201cproud Western chauvinists\u201d \u2014 used DC\u2019s logo in a flyer for its Dec. 12 \u201cMarch for Trump\u201d in DC, which was posted on social media<\/a> platform Parler<\/a>.<\/p>\n

DC fans flagged the alleged rip-off to Michael Shelling and Carrie Williams, who handle press for DC.<\/p>\n

Williams said the Proud Boys\u2019 use was \u201cnot authorized by DC,\u201d while Shelling acknowledged the \u201cWarnerMedia Legal department have been investigating this,\u201d Business Insider reported.<\/p>\n

Proud Boys chairman Enrique Tarrio laughed off the threat of a lawsuit \u2014 and hurled a homophobic slur at the comics giant.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would love for them actually to sue me. I\u2019d love to turn that into a circus,\u201d he told Business Insider.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe they\u2019ll benefit in their marketing, their virtue signaling marketing, of trying to convince people that they don\u2019t like the Proud Boys. That\u2019s fine. Get in line with the rest of the other liberal f\u2014ts.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
