\n A federal judge has denied a request by the Trump administration to halt the publication of a new memoir by former national security adviser John Bolton.<\/p>\n

Team Trump had argued the book should be halted because it includes classified information. US District Judge Royce Lamberth disagreed in her decision, handed down Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile Bolton\u2019s unilateral conduct raises grave national security concerns, the government has not established that an injunction is an app<\/a>ropriate remedy,\u201d Lamberth wrote.<\/p>\n

Bolton, who served from April 2018 to September 2019, gives a brutally critical account of the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

Revelations that include an accusation that Trump tried to get Chinese President Xi Jinping to help him win reelection with strategic purchases of US agricultural products, have already begun to leak out. Bolton also accused the president of being \u201cstunningly uninformed on how to run the White House.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response to the decision, the president tweeted Saturday:<\/p>\n

\u201cWow, I finally agree with failed political consultant Steve Schmidt, who called Wacko John Bolton \u201ca despicable man who failed in his duty to protect America.\u201d Also stated that he should never be allowed to serve in government again. So true! Plain and simple, John Bolton, who was all washed up until I brought him back and gave him a chance, broke the law by releasing Classified Information (in massive amounts). He must pay a very big price for this, as others have before him. This should never to happen again!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier, as he has with past aides who have penned critical accounts of their White House work, Trump offered a blistering attack of the new book online.<\/p>\n

\u201cWacko John Bolton\u2019s \u201cexceedingly tedious\u201d(New York Times) book is made up of lies & fake stories. Said all good about me, in print, until the day I fired him. A disgruntled boring fool who only wanted to go to war. Never had a clue, was ostracized & happily dumped. What a dope!\u201d he said in a Thursday tweet.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
