Mango<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n                        <strong>Urban beat: Pandemic and Pandemonium<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe rage ignited by the death of George Floyd is symptomatic of a profound sense of alienation that has been building for years\u201d and was \u201cworsened\u201d by the coronavirus crisis, Joel Kotkin argues at Quillette. COVID-19 and progressive city governments\u2019 response to it have \u201cdevasted poorer communities,\u201d creating \u201curban malaise.\u201d Hence the return of a \u201criot ideology,\u201d in which \u201cradical activists\u201d \u2014 and even some more mainstream left-wing politicians \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>laud \u201crandom looting and even killings\u201d as \u201cpart of a glorious \u2018rebellion\u2019 or uprising.\u201d In response, our cities need a \u201claser-like focus on economic opportunity\u201d to \u201crepair the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> safety net broken by COVID-19\u201d and \u201cpromote self-sufficiency and not dependency.\u201d The alternative is \u201cwatching them burn when minority and working-class resentment inevitably erupts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Culture critic: The Unforgivable Sin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Treating whiteness as an \u201coriginal sin, an inherited moral defect one must atone for\u201d has \u201cgone uber-mainstream\u201d since George Floyd\u2019s \u201cbrutal execution,\u201d Spiked\u2019s Brendan O\u2019Neill sighs. But such \u201ccollective guilt on the basis of racial origin\u201d is \u201cwicked\u201d \u2014 and, ironically, racist. It also distracts us from \u201cthe real problems facing the US,\u201d including the \u201cpolice brutality\u201d and \u201cstructural disarray\u201d that resulted in Floyd\u2019s death. That\u2019s why \u201ccorporate America and the new political elites\u201d have embraced \u201cthe woke ideology of pathologized whiteness\u201d: It \u201ctakes the heat off the powers-that-be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Science<\/a> desk: Politicized Meds in the Trump Era<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With President Trump having taken hydroxychloroquine to guard against the coronavirus, his \u201ccritics in the press seem to be on a mission to discredit the therapy,\u201d The Wall Street Journal\u2019s Allysia Finley observes. And \u201ca prestigious medical journal may be joining in.\u201d A study by The Lancet found a 30 percent \u201cincreased risk of death for hospitalized COVID-19 patients\u201d treated with that drug or a related one. But \u201csome 120 doctors, statisticians and epidemiologists\u201d write in an open letter that they have \u201cboth methodological and data integrity concerns.\u201d For instance, \u201cmore deaths were reported from five Australian hospitals collectively than had occurred in the entire country during the study period,\u201d and the average reported dose of the drug \u201cwas 100 milligrams higher than FDA guidelines.\u201d With headlines such as \u201cStudy says drug hailed by Trump is harmful,\u201d experts worry trials of what could be a life-saving treatment won\u2019t go ahead as planned.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From the right: How Urban \u2018Forests\u2019 Die<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Elites \u201cexcusing the destruction of our cities\u201d have clearly \u201cnever built a business themselves,\u201d bemoans National Review\u2019s David Harsanyi, whose parents \u201cwould never see a penny for the years of preparation, exertion and sacrifice\u201d after thieves looted their business. Alas, many American small-business owners may \u201cend up in similar circumstances\u201d because of our elected officials\u2019 unwillingness to stop \u201ccriminals and cosplay revolutionaries.\u201d The worst example: Massachusetts Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">General<\/a> Maura Healey, who said, \u201cYes, America is burning, but that\u2019s how forests grow,\u201d even as rioters and arsonists are \u201cdestroying poor and minority neighborhoods.\u201d Small businesses in those neighborhoods may never recover, and even big stores may leave for good when they start \u201cpaying higher insurance rates.\u201d The forest, in fact, \u201cdoesn\u2019t always grow back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lockdown watch: Dems Push Cuomo To Reopen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithering before our eyes is the pulse that once made New York great,\u201d Democratic Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein and City Councilman Kalman Yeger write in a letter urging Gov. Andrew Cuomo to reopen the state. \u201cThree months of difficult lockdown\u201d came \u201cat immeasurable cost.\u201d \u201cUnemployment is at record highs,\u201d \u201cchildren\u2019s skills and knowledge are regressing at unknowable rates\u201d and \u201cunrest is growing at exponential levels.\u201d Business owners \u201care aware of the need to be safe, even while going about their business.\u201d And let\u2019s face it: \u201cThe calls for mass peaceful marching without any regard for social-distancing have rendered a continued lockdown at this point ludicrous.\u201d It\u2019s time to heal: \u201cNew Yorkers are unemployed, broke, anxious and emotionally drained.
