Studio MDHR has delayed<\/a> Cuphead<\/em> download<\/a>able content \u201cThe Delicious Last Course\u201d from its previously planned 2020 release window to 2021. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is the second major delay for the downloadable content, which was first announced in June 2018 with plans for release in 2019, before being delayed to 2020.<\/p>\n

Here is the full message from Studio MDHR on the delay:<\/p>\n

While \u201cThe Delicious Last Course\u201d is a continuation of Cuphead and Mugman\u2019s grand adventure, it\u2019s also a conclusion to the story that began on that fateful day at The Devil\u2019s casino.<\/p>\n

In true Studio MDHR fashion, we aren\u2019t content for this final chapter to be anything less than our best work. Throughout development, we\u2019ve challenged ourselves to put everything we learned from making Cuphead<\/em> into the quality of \u201cThe Delicious Last Course\u201d\u2018s animation, design, and music.<\/p>\n

Meeting this standard has been extremely challenging for us amid the global pandemic that has affected so many our fellow developers. Rather than compromise on our vision in response to COVID, we\u2019ve made the difficult decision to push back the release of \u201cThe Delicious Last Course\u201d until we are confident it will delight the Cuphead<\/em> community of the way we feel it should.<\/p>\n

We know many of you have been waiting to return to the Inkwell Isles, and our goal is to make the trip<\/a> back there next year a truly magical one.<\/p>\n
