Working with RADArt4Aid, an organization that distributed donations to various charities, Seliger, 61, auctioned off 26 of his classic photos to benefit COVID-19 relief efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Christie\u2019s wr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed up bids this week, generating a total of $232,375.<\/p>\n<p>Here, Seliger shares the stories behind a few of them.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Jennifer_Lopez_11875_for_Americas_Food_Fund\"><\/span>Jennifer Lopez: $11,875 for America\u2019s Food Fund<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15867038\"><img alt=\"Jennifer Lopez\" data- data- height=\"441\" width=\"294\"><\/img><figcaption><span>Jennifer Lopez<\/span><span>Mark Seliger<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>For a 2001 Rolling Stone profile, Seliger had a jungle set built inside his Manhattan studio, taking inspiration from the illustrations of fantasy\/sci-fi illustrator Frank Frazetta. Then he augmented it all with a pair of leopards. Though Lopez \u201cloved the idea,\u201d Seliger told The Post, \u201cI don\u2019t think she loved [the leopards].\u201d Nonetheless, J.Lo put on her best face and made it work. \u201cI don\u2019t think we even discussed what the attitude would be other than that she was a provocative, strong, warrior queen,\u201d Seliger recalled.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<\/hr>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Brad_Pitt_15000_for_Meals_on_Wheels\"><\/span>Brad Pitt: $15,000 for Meals on Wheels<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15867039\"><img alt=\"Brad Pitt\" data- data- height=\"441\" width=\"661\"><\/img><figcaption><span>Brad Pitt<\/span><span>Mark Seliger<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cTall trees\u201d was Pitt\u2019s idea for a 2014 Details shoot. \u201cWe found this area, Avenue of the Giants [in Northern California], where redwoods line the highway. Brad got on his bike and started riding,\u201d Seliger said. \u201cMy producer drove and I laid on the roof of our car, shooting as Brad cruised next to us. I do my own stunts.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<\/hr>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Barack_Obama_37500_for_World_Central_Kitchen\"><\/span>Barack Obama: $37,500 for World Central Kitchen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15867040\"><img alt=\"Barack Obama\" data- data- height=\"441\" width=\"294\"><\/img><figcaption><span>Barack Obama<\/span><span>Mark Seliger<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nearing the first 100 days of his presidency, in 2009, Obama welcomed Seliger to the White House for a Rolling Stone shoot. Seliger shot a forward-facing cover image, then shoe-horned in what he calls \u201cthe takeaway.\u201d He had just six minutes to capture it. \u201cI told him to adjust his shoulders and move his elbows out. And he said, \u2018OK. That\u2019s enough art.\u2019\u201d Seliger felt the rear shot really told the story. \u201cYou could sense the weight on his shoulders,\u201d the photographer said. \u201cI marveled to him that [the White House] must be an incredible place to wake up each morning. He said, \u2018Not when you have three wars going on.\u2019\u2009\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<\/hr>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tom_Hanks_6250_for_Hidden_Heroes\"><\/span>Tom Hanks: $6,250 for Hidden Heroes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_15867043\"><img alt=\"Tom Hanks\" data- data- height=\"441\" width=\"294\"><\/img><figcaption><span>Tom Hanks<\/span><span>Mark Seliger<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Just before \u201cForrest Gump\u201d was released, Hanks agreed to pose with a chimp for a 1994 story in Us magazine. \u201cIt was interesting how in synch they were with each other,\u201d Seliger said. \u201cThe chimp sat on Tom\u2019s lap and began putting his hands on Tom\u2019s face.\u201d Instantly in the swing of things, \u201cTom began making faces that corresponded with where the chimp was putting his hands. People always ask me if those are real chimpanzee arms.
