The landscaping craftsmen of Bravo\u2019s \u201cBackyard Envy\u201d are taking it all off \u2014 and we\u2019re not talking hedge trimming, honey.<\/p>\n

Showing off way more than just their green thumbs, Manscapers NY founders James DeSantis, Mel Brasier and Garrett Magee joined their team of skilled gardeners and construction workers in going au natural, enswathed by the earth\u2019s most beautiful vegetation, for the Manscapers NY 2021 charity calendar.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to do something to spotlight our community, celebrate the hard work of our company, and of course, provide tons of visual fodder,\u201d said Manscapers NY co-owner and self-crowned plant whisperer, Magee, 35.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe calendar brings a bit of beauty into the homes of others throughout the year,\u201d added DeSantis, 32. \u201cAnd it shows off what we know best: beautiful plants and beautiful people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pledging 100 percent of the calendar sale proceeds to a colorful assortment of 12 charities \u2014 including the Black Trans Travel<\/a> Fund, Feed America, the Urban Garden Initiative, City Harvest, and Grow NYC \u2014 Magee, DeSantis and Brasier tapp<\/a>ed each of their Manscapers models to select a special foundation to benefit.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve all been giving to these charities for years now,\u201d DeSantis said. \u201cSo, to be able to do something publicly, and with our voices, and visually, it\u2019s really important to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Manscapers NY 2021 calendar features stunning visuals shot by photographer Sam Waxman, with fun monthly tips and tricks for gardening, landscaping and design. Following the calendar, the company is also set to release gardening book \u201cTake It Outside\u201d this spring.<\/p>\n

Best buds for nearly two decades \u2014 bound by a shared passion for fashion, horticulture and uplifting the LGBT+ community \u2014 the Brooklyn-based Manscapers NY founders broke ground on their company in Williamsburg eight years ago.<\/p>\n

The landscaping trio has been busier than ever this year, garnishing safe spaces for clients in need and pruning away at the woes of 2020.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo many people have been reaching out to us to enhance their gardens because it\u2019s really the only space they have right now,\u201d Magee said. \u201cAnd us making their gardens beautiful gives them joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve had clients say, \u2018The space you guys created for us literally saved our family. You\u2019ve provided a sanctuary,\u2019 Brasier said. \u201cIt feels good to help people feel more comfortable at home, especially right now.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
