\n A 10-year-old boy was slashed in the face during a fight inside an uptown housing project apartment, police said Saturday.<\/p>\n

The woman who slashed the boy fled the apartment at Frederick Douglass Houses on West 104th Street shortly after the 2:37 p.m. incident and was being sought Saturday night, police said.<\/p>\n

The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital.<\/p>\n

\u201cI heard people screaming, \u2018Stop! Stop!\u201d neighbor Felix Jean said of the dispute.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was always on his roller skates,\u201d he said of the injured boy.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, around in the hallway and playing with my kids sometimes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another neighbor at the Manhattan Valley housing project, who asked not to be named, also heard the screaming.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have my own kids,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like, why would you do that to a child in general<\/a>? There shouldn\u2019t be any reason to slash a 10 year old. What could he have done to you?\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
