\n The Trump Administration has recently alerted local law enforcement that a far-right group known as \u201cboogaloo\u201d may be targeting the nation\u2019s capital Politico reports.<\/p>\n

Boogaloo, a radical pro-second amendment organization, is a citizen-militia whose members say they are preparing for the Second American Civil War.<\/p>\n

The National Capital Region Threat Intelligence Consortium (NTIC) reported Monday that \u201cthe District is likely an attractive target for violent adherents of the boogaloo ideology due to the significant presence of US law enforcement entities, and the wide range of First Amendment-protected events hosted here,\u201d Politico reported.<\/p>\n

In its June 15th assessment, the NTIC found \u201crecent events indicate violent adherents of the boogaloo ideology likely reside in the National Capital Region, and others may be willing to travel<\/a> far distances to incite civil unrest or conduct violence encouraged in online forums associated with the movement.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Friday. the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said that while Washington D.C. is an attractive target, other cities should also be on alert, as the boogaloo ideology is not restricted to just one place.<\/p>\n

\u201cDomestic terrorists advocating for the boogaloo very likely will take advantage of any regional or national situation involving heightened fear and tensions to promote their violent extremist ideology and call supporters to action,\u201d said DHS in a memo.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
