\n A man is wanted for throwing a ceramic mug at a marked NYPD van with two cops inside in a Queens public housing development, police said Sunday.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old struck the vehicle with the cup around 4 p.m. Saturday in the Astoria Houses as the officers sat inside, according to police.<\/p>\n

The mug-thrower is known to the department and they are seeking him for questioning, cops said. The incident caused damage to the van\u2019s front grill.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey know who it is,\u201d a police spokesman said. \u201cIt\u2019s just a matter of time.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
