\n A man who broke into his ex-girlfriend\u2019s California home and attacked her was killed by the woman\u2019s mother and sister \u2014 who used golf clubs and a kitchen knife to defend her, police said.<\/p>\n

The man, identified as 40-year-old Justin Goss, hurled a large concrete paver through the front window of the South Pasadena home on Saturday and stepped inside, The Los Angeles Times reported.<\/a><\/p>\n

He then began choking and punching his ex in the face, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff\u2019s Department.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when the 37-year-old woman\u2019s mom and adult sister jumped into action, stabbing Goss with the knife and beating him with the golf clubs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey tried to pull him off, and it didn\u2019t work; he was too strong. So they had to resort to using weapons,\u201d Lt. Barry Hall told the Times.<\/p>\n

South Pasadena police officers found the home\u2019s front window shattered and heard the woman\u2019s screams coming from inside when they responded to a domestic violence call shortly before 10 a.m., authorities said.<\/p>\n

Goss was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries to her face and released.<\/p>\n

Her mom and sister won\u2019t be facing charges as \u201cthey were well within their right to act in defense of their sister and daughter,\u201d Hall said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
