The following contains MAJOR spoilers for <em>The Walking Dead: World Beyond<\/em> \u00a0Season 1 finale]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Who knew the helicopter Rick Grimes (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/andrew-lincoln\">Andrew Lincoln<\/a>) glimpsed in <em>The Walking Dead<\/em>\u2019s Pilot episode all those years ago would end up having this much significance?<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of episodes (and two spinoffs) later, we now know those \u201chelicopter people\u201d are part of a group called the Civil Republic Military \u2014 aka CRM \u2014 and that it&#8217;s one of the driving forces behind the franchise.<\/p>\n<p>Post-<em>World Beyond<\/em> finale, here\u2019s everything we know about CRM.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>That&#8217;s at its best, and it&#8217;s downright malevolent at its worst. Isabel (Sydney Lemmon) told Althea (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/maggie-grace\">Maggie Grace<\/a>) not to dig into CRM because it&#8217;s a force living for something greater than themselves (read: the group is ruthless). We saw that on <em>World Beyond<\/em>\u2019s first season, when it leveled the Campus Colony, one of the three interconnected networks of CRM; the others are in New York and Oregon. (We&#8217;ve literally never seen the Oregon community, as far as we know. What&#8217;s their deal?!)<\/p>\n<p>We still don\u2019t know exactly why it took out all those people or destroyed what <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared to be a thriving community with thousands of people; all we know is that Lt. Col Kublek (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/julia-ormond\">Julia Ormond<\/a>) said the group was \u201ca threat.\u201d That, combined with its \u201cshoot-on-sight\u201d philosophy detailed in Season 6A of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/show\/fear-the-walking-dead\"><em>Fear The Walking Dead<\/em> <\/a>seems to point to its military being more villainous and less heroic. Not only do Lt. Col Kublek and Dr. Bennett have their own modern-looking apartments complete with electricity, but they have fuel for their helicopters and cars (no horses for CRM!), military-grade weapons, supply crates stocked with medicine and, more importantly, beer. While Alexandria and Hilltop struggles to survive, it appears CRM\u2019s has no trouble locking down the basics.<\/p>\n<p>As we learn in the <em>World Beyond<\/em> finale, CRM also considers people a resource, but not in the way Negan (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/jeffrey-dean-morgan\">Jeffrey Dean Morgan<\/a>) once did. While the former leader of the Saviors took all comers, CRM is selective about who it chooses to invite into its operation. And on <em>World Beyond<\/em>, Huck serves a similar purpose, although she&#8217;s tasked with bringing in one specific asset. Either way, it seems like CRM tends to plant someone within a community for its purposes and have them recruit\u2014 if you can even call it recruiting? \u2014 those who fit their needs. With that said, it seems they occasionally go through traditional channels as well, considering Dr. Bennett was brought to CRM after a visit from its leader.<\/p>\n<p>CRM also appears to send teams out in search of resources, as Isabelle and her partner are tasked with getting supplies on <em>Fear<\/em>. We\u2019re still not totally sure, but in one scene from the spinoff, we see CRM\u2019s procedure for testing walkers to see if they possess any brain activity. They\u2019re labeled with a string of numbers beginning with the letter \u201cA.\u201d If you recall, Rick was originally supposed to be an \u201cA,\u201d and so were Negan and Gabriel (<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/tvinsider.com\/people\/seth-gilliam\">Seth Gilliam<\/a>), who Anne also attempted to bring in at various points throughout the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>. On the subject of Rick, Anne changed her mind in attempting to save his life and said he was a \u201cB,\u201d so, presumably, \u201cB\u201d status enabled CRM to save his life.<\/p>\n<p>If this logic holds, \u201cAs\u201d are test subjects for CRM\u2019s experimentation \u2014 they\u2019re either bitten when they get there or they\u2019re bitten after they arrive, and then CRM\u2019s scientists conduct experiments on them to try and cure the virus.
