A former Tekashi 6ix9ine pal was sentenced Tuesday to 4 1\/2 years in prison in connection to a brazen Times Square shooting.<\/p>\n

Kintea McKenzie, a recording artist who goes by the name Kooda B, was the last of a dozen defendants indicted alongside Tekashi for their roles in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods criminal enterprise.<\/p>\n

The gang was responsible for numerous shootings, robberies, assaults and narcotics trafficking in Manhattan and Brooklyn, according to federal prosecutors.<\/p>\n

Tekashi, aka Daniel Hernandez, paid McKenzie cash in June 2018 to shoot at rapp<\/a>er and rival gang member Chief Keef as he exited a Times Square hotel.<\/p>\n

McKenzie, who didn\u2019t pull the trigger, pleaded guilty last year<\/a> to organizing the shooting, which was intended to scare but not wound Chief Keef. The shots struck the hotel lobby ceiling above the target\u2019s head.<\/p>\n

McKenzie, 22, landed in hot water in October when he was caught on video partying with a group of people in his Brooklyn apartment after he was cut loose from jail due to the coronavirus. He was ordered back into custody over the stunt.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
