They starred together in The Morning Show.<\/a><\/em>\u00a0Now Gugu Mbatha-Raw<\/a> and Reese Witherspoon<\/a> are teaming up again.<\/p>\n

The British actor will star in the psychological thriller Surface<\/em><\/a>, which Apple TV+ has given a straight-to-series<\/a> order, the streamer announced.<\/p>\n

Created by Veronica West, who recently executive produced the Zoe Kravitz romantic comedy High Fidelity, <\/em>the series is being co-produced by Witherspoon and her company, Hello Sunshine. Details of the storyline are still under wraps.<\/p>\n

Gugu currently co-stars with Keira Knightly in the feature film Misbehaviour. <\/em>In addition to The Morning Show,\u00a0<\/em>her TV credits include The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance<\/em>, and Black Mirror<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Surface<\/em> is the latest collaboration between Hello Sunshine and Apple. The companies recently announced the upcoming talent search My Kind of Country<\/em>, and previously made Truth Be Told<\/em><\/a>, starring Octavia Spencer<\/a> and Kate Hudson<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
