Doctor Who is losing two companions following the holiday-theme<\/a>d special.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Radio Times is reporting that Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole are bowing out of the series<\/a> as Graham and Ryan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The upcoming “Revolution of the Daleks” Christmas special will mark their final episode with the series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n \u201cIt is very, very dramatic,\u201d Walsh said of his departure.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is very sad. It is quite sad and\u2026 \u2018poignant\u2019 is the word. You can expect a lot of poignancy from the episode,” he added.<\/p>\n

\n \"Graham<\/img>\n<\/div>\n

\u201c[It was] emotional!\u201d added Cole. \u201cI was looking forward to having a rest though!\u201d<\/p>\n

Jodie Whittaker will remain as the Time Lord during the 13th season of the cult hit, alongside Mandip Gill’s Yaz.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Further casting is expected to be announced closer to the debut of the new season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope that it feels like a good send-off for those two characters, whatever happens to them,\u201d series showrunner Chris Chibnall explained to the outlet.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI can tell you that it\u2019s very emotional.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n \"Ryan<\/img>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve all been in tears watching it. It\u2019s a really important part of the mix of the special where you get lots of thrills, lots of spills, lots of humour, lots of Daleks, and lots of emotion.”<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, yeah, without spoiling anything, it\u2019s hard, but we don\u2019t shy away from what it means for this family to have its final moments together. It was emotional off-screen. It\u2019s emotional on-screen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both actors have spoken fondly about their time on the series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI have absolutely loved it, loved it,\u201d Walsh said.<\/p>\n

\n \u201cWales has become like a second home to me and being included in something so iconic and groundbreaking with the advent of having a female Doctor, that whole thing where Chibnall sold that to me, it didn\u2019t disappoint and I loved working with those guys.”<\/p>\n

The series is bringing back John Barrowman as Captain Jack for the January 1st special.\u00a0<\/p>\n
