Here\u2019s how to do it.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Requirements\"><\/span>Requirements<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>First, make sure that your Nintendo Switch is updated to System 11.0.0. To do so, open System Settings, navigate to \u201cSystem,\u201d and select \u201cSystem Update.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED:<\/strong> <strong><em>How to Update Your Nintendo Switch<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also need a compatible USB-A to USB-C cable that you can plug directly into the connector at the bottom of the Switch. The cable has to be wired for data transfer, not just for charging. For the transfer to work, Nintendo says that\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en-americas-support.nintendo.com\/app\/answers\/detail\/a_id\/53664\">the computer must support Media Transfer Protocol (MTP)<\/a>. Windows 10 PCs all include support for this.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the Switch\u2019s USB copy function does not work on a Mac out of the box, although that may change with a future update. Reportedly, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.android.com\/filetransfer\/\">Android File Transfer<\/a> might work.
