“#Listen to Neal Casal\u2019s Final Solo Recordings<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Neal Casal\u2019s final two solo recordings, \u201cEverything Is Moving<\/a>\u201d and \u201cGreen Moon<\/a>,\u201d are now available on digital streaming platforms. The late singer-songwriter had been working on the songs since at least 2013, according to a press release, but they remained unfinished when he died in August 2019. Casal\u2019s friends Jeff Hill, Jon Graboff, John Ginty, George Sluppick, Jena Kraus, JP Hesser, and Jim Scott finished the songs this year, mixing the songs and adding additional parts. \u201cEverything Is Moving\u201d arrives with a Ray Foley\u2013directed video. In a statement on the two songs, Jeff Hill said:<\/p>\n

Working on these songs has been truly cathartic for me as I continue to process the loss of my dear friend. Neal writes in \u201cEverything Is Moving,\u201d \u201cI am just a shadow on the wall, you won\u2019t even think of me at all.\u201d As much as Neal\u2019s lyrics can be eerily prophetic of the tragedy to come. He was wrong, So many of us will be thinking of Neal for decades to come.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cEverything Is Moving\u201d and \u201cGreen Moon\u201d will be release as a 7″ vinyl<\/a> on February 26. All of the songs\u2019 proceeds will benefit the Neal Casal Music Foundation<\/a>, a nonprofit that provides musical instruments and lessons to New York and New Jersey state school students; the foundation also makes donations to mental health organizations that support musicians in need.<\/p>\n
