\n President Trump predicted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would win in a primary election against Chuck Schumer for his long-standing New York Senate seat.<\/p>\n

The president made the comments on Twitter<\/a> in response to a recent story published by the Washington Times about liberals raising the prospect of a potential Ocasio-Cortez-Schumer showdown in 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cActually, that would be a big improvement \u2013 and she would win!\u201d the president quote tweeted along with the story.<\/p>\n

The Washington Times story from Sunday cited a recent tweet from David Sirota, a senior adviser to Sen. Bernie Sanders\u2019 presidential campaign, that broached the idea of the race.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust going to say something out loud that should be obvious: The fastest way to speed up the process of changing the corrupt, do-nothing, status-quo-protecting culture of the national Democratic Party is for @AOC to defeat @ChuckSchumer in a Democratic primary in 2022,\u201d Sirota wrote.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
