Kadokawa is preparing to bring the world of talent reality shows to anime. SELECTION PROJECT<\/i><\/b> is a planned media<\/a> mix project focusing on nine upcoming idols, and the anime adaptation now has a PV showing off the hopefuls in the fictional competition.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Directed by Daisuke Hiramaki<\/strong> (NEW GAME!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a>) at Doga Kobo and script<\/a>ed by Y\u016bya Takahashi<\/strong> (Lupin the 3rd Part IV<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>), the series<\/a> focuses on national idol reality show "Selection Project." Hopeful idol Suzune dreams of being an idol, and enters the seventh annual contest for a chance at stardom. Along with eight other girls who won regional qualifiers, she'll go on to compete at the top level.<\/p>\n

Character designs hail from Rent-a-Girlfriend<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a>'s Kanna Hirayama<\/strong>, and Love Live! School Idol Project<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a>'s Y\u014dhei Kisara<\/strong> will produce the music. Dandelion Animation Studio (Haikyu!!<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a>) will handle 3DCG animation.<\/p>\n

An official website<\/strong><\/span><\/a> has also opened for the project, featuring character art and profiles. No voice actresses have yet been connected to the fictional idol hopefuls.<\/p>\n

The anime iteration of SELECTION PROJECT<\/em><\/strong> is due to premiere sometime in 2021.<\/p>\n
