The show ended its second season on June 15. Now eyes are on the future, whether NBC will renew\u00a0<em>Songland<\/em> Season 3.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t just about whether the show will be renewed, though. I also want to look at whether it needs to be. I\u2019m not usually the biggest fan of reality TV, and yet, this show has me hooked each week because it offers something that no other reality show can.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Chances_of_a_Songland_renewal\"><\/span>Chances of a Songland renewal<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>I do think that there is a chance\u00a0<em>Songland<\/em> will be renewed, but it\u2019s not guaranteed. NBC is relying on more than just live ratings now, but the live ratings are all we get to see clearly.<\/p>\n<p>While the ratings were down from the first season, they\u2019re not yet dangerously low. However, the dip is something to be concerned about.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more important to consider is where the dips h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened. The odd episode would see a sharp drop but then the ratings would hold steady for a few weeks. This could be a hint at the types of artists or music that viewers aren\u2019t interested in. Of course, that doesn\u2019t mean all types of artists or music should be excluded, but that it could suggest strategic placements of episodes.<\/p>\n<p>When the network as a whole is considered,\u00a0<em>Songland<\/em> sits in the middle of the spring shows. This suggests it would be a lower risk to keep this <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> on for another year than pick up a freshman show that may not do well. Also, unscripted shows tend to cost less than scripted, so lower ratings are more permissible.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Songland_Season_3_needs_to_happen\"><\/span>Songland Season 3 needs to happen<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are many reality shows out there. Most of them find the next artist or the next dancer. They help people find love or even find a partner to have a baby with!\u00a0<em>Songland<\/em> offers something different.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of finding the next artist, it offers the chance for songwriters to find a place in the industry. There are always openings for writers, but it can be a hard industry to break into; much harder than the singers.<\/p>\n<p>Writing has become a collaborative process now more than ever. A show like this offers a look at how music evolves; how a song can start as one thing but grow into something unique. There\u2019s a chance to see how a song about one person\u2019s experience can be transformed into something for another artist.<\/p>\n<p>The songwriters aren\u2019t just getting tips and advice from producers. They\u2019re getting tips from experienced songwriters and artists; those who have great hits or written great hits so know what to look out for.
