{"id":126705,"date":"2020-12-05T03:49:46","date_gmt":"2020-12-05T00:49:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/there-may-be-an-ultra-matte-black-iphone-or-macbook-in-your-future\/"},"modified":"2020-12-05T03:49:46","modified_gmt":"2020-12-05T00:49:46","slug":"there-may-be-an-ultra-matte-black-iphone-or-macbook-in-your-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/there-may-be-an-ultra-matte-black-iphone-or-macbook-in-your-future\/","title":{"rendered":"#There may be an ultra matte black iPhone or MacBook in your future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#There may be an ultra matte black iPhone or MacBook in your future<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n                                According to a patent filed by <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le, the company may be working on a new super-matte black finish for its lineup of gadgets.<\/p>\n<p>The <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/uspto.report\/patent\/app\/20200383224\">patent<\/a>, spotted by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.patentlyapple.com\/patently-apple\/2020\/12\/would-you-love-to-own-a-cool-matte-black-aluminum-macbook-well-apple-researchers-are-working-on-just-that.html\">Patently Apple<\/a> and titled \u201cAnodized Part Having a Matte Black Appearance,\u201d suggests the colorway would not just be your typical matte black finish. These can still show smudges and scratches; these are really more of a dark grey. The patent instead seems to point to a finish a bit closer to an ultra-black material like <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vantablack\">Vantablack<\/a>, able to absorb \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>ly all visible light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re not familiar with Vantablack and other ultra-dark materials, they are basically somewhat akin to looking at a black hole. Aside from just looking cool, it could have the effect of significantly hiding scratches and other damage on metal. The <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> would work by using a special etching process that creates pores on metal, effectively increasing the surface area for light absorption on an anodized layer. Per the patent\u2019s own description:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c<span>The anodized part includes a metal substrate and an anodized layer overlaying and formed from the metal substrate.
