\nMonths before Brian Austin Green<\/strong> and Megan Fox<\/strong> announced their split, the Beverly Hills, 90210<\/em> alum was gushing about their relationship. In fact, he had high praise for his wife!<\/p>\n

The 47-year-old app<\/a>eared on Thursday\u2019s episode of the Ever After with Jaleel White<\/em> podcast, which was recorded earlier this year \u201cjust before the pandemic,\u201d BAG opened up about how his family is the reason he\u2019s been able to survive Hollywood.<\/p>\n

In fact, at the time, he gave a special shout-out to Megan, saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t get my sense of self-worth from work. I don\u2019t get it from being on set. I don\u2019t get it from those people. I get it when I got home and I see my wife and I see my kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He and Fox share three children together, Noah<\/strong>, 8, Bodhi<\/strong>, 6, and Journey<\/strong>, 4, but the actor also shares son Kassius<\/strong>, 18, with actress Vanessa Marcil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The star continued, explaining the importance of his personal life over his work:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I\u2019m lying in a hospital bed and they\u2019re around me, that\u2019s what\u2019s gonna mean something to me. Not the jobs I\u2019ve done or who I worked with. That\u2019s not going to matter. That lives forever on film, but that\u2019s just one aspect [of my life]. That\u2019s not me. That\u2019s what I did. That was my job.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Eek! That\u2019s gotta be painful for Brian to re-live!<\/p>\n

In another quote that did not<\/em> age well, he revealed how he and Megan have managed to raise their children together:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy wife and I, we got really good at man-to-man. Then you have three and all of a sudden you have to play zone. \u2018OK, I\u2019ll cover [this] half of the room, you cover that half. Then if a kid steps in our zone, then we\u2019ve got it covered.\u2019 Then you start playing zone by yourself. You start going: \u2018Yeah, I can do this.’\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

As we all know, the couple have been co-parenting their kids since the \u201990s heartthrob announced in May that he and Megan had broken up! And it wasn\u2019t much later that the Transformers<\/em> star moved on with rapper Machine Gun Kelly<\/strong>. While it seemed Green had been getting adjusted to his estranged wife\u2018s new relationship, clearly not all was well between the two exes!<\/p>\n

After he posted a Halloween pic with their son Journey, the 34-year-old blasted him for using the 4-year-old to fit his \u201cpervasive narrative\u201d about her parenting skills. She commented on his Instagram<\/strong> upload with:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy does Journey have to be in this picture? It\u2019s not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren\u2019t in. I had a great halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media<\/a>. I know you love your kids. But I don\u2019t know why you can\u2019t stop using them to posture via Instagram. You\u2019re so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I\u2019m an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year. You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human! Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The dad of four deleted the original image and instead chose to share a cropped version sans any children. Think this wound has healed since??<\/p>\n
