You\u2019ll just need to use a free program called Android File Transfer on macOS\u2014here\u2019s how to set it up.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Youll_Need\"><\/span>What You\u2019ll Need<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Before you get started, make sure your Switch is updated to system 11.0.0 or later. Updating is easy from the Switch\u2019s Settings <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>. Just select \u201cSystem\u201d in the sidebar, and then choose \u201cSystem Update.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED:<\/strong> <strong><em>How to Update Your Nintendo Switch<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also need a compatible USB-C cable that\u2019s fully wired to send data, not just charge. Also, note that this technique won\u2019t work through the Switch dock. You\u2019ll have to plug the USB cable directly into the USB-C port on the bottom of the Switch.<\/p>\n<p>When your cable is ready, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.android.com\/filetransfer\/\">download and install Android File Transfer<\/a> on your Mac. This free utility was created by Google, and it supports the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> Transfer Protocol (MTP) used by the Switch to transfer photos over USB. Android devices also use this protocol, but Macs don\u2019t include support for it, which is why Google created this utility.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Transfer_Screenshots_and_Videos_From_Nintendo_Switch_to_a_Mac_via_USB\"><\/span>How to Transfer Screenshots and Videos From Nintendo Switch to a Mac via USB<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>To start transferring media, plug the USB-C cable into the bottom of your Switch, and then plug the other end into a USB port on your Mac.
