The Knicks will spend a lot of time on the road at the pandemic season\u2019s outset \u2014 which means MSG Network\u2019s Hall-of-Fame broadcast tandem of Mike Breen and Walt Frazier may not be around the club much.<\/p>\n

According to a source, Breen and Frazier are unlikely to make road trips \u2014 at least early on, according to industry sources. In fact, the NBA is leaning toward not having visiting team\u2019s broadcasters travel to road contests.<\/p>\n

Though the NBA has made no final decision, it is expected Breen and Frazier, under league rules, will broadcast road game<\/a>s from either a New York studio or their home.<\/p>\n

Considered the NBA\u2019s most elite announcing duo, Breen and Frazier are permitted to broadcast home games from the Garden but not from their usual courtside table. Instead, they likely will be perched 30 feet above the court.<\/p>\n

Frazier, the Knicks backcourt legend, turned 75 in March. Whether Clyde still dons his rainbow-colored suits from home remains unknown.<\/p>\n

The Knicks\u2019 first two preseason games are in Detroit (Dec. 11 and Dec. 13). And 12 of their opening 19 games are away from the Garden, including a four-game Western Conference trip in late January.<\/p>\n

Plenty of extra protocols will be in place for the Knicks road trips, according to sources. The players are expected to handle their own luggage at all times \u2014 a departure from the norm.<\/p>\n

The Post also has learned the team bus to the arenas can hold up to 12 people. That means as many as four buses may be needed to schlep coaches, trainers and players to the arena.<\/p>\n

Forward Omari Spellman, obtained in a trade with Minnesota last month, said he will prove the doubters wrong about his conditioning. The Post reported the Knicks developmental staff feels they can turn Spellman, 23, into a productive stretch 4. The rap on Spellman, who starred at Villanova, is weight issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to let people know that I am a hard worker, and this is something I committed to,\u2019\u2019 Spellman said. \u201c I know that\u2019s been a question and my knock in this league. I\u2019m [ready to] do away with all the notions that I don\u2019t work hard and don\u2019t have a passion or love for the game. I compete at a high level and just want to bring intensity to this team.\u201d \u2026 The Knicks\u2019 first official practice is Sunday with two-a-days.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
