\u201cToday\u201d show contributor Bobbie Thomas\u2019 husband, Michael Marion, has died at the age of 42. <\/p>\n

Marion, a lawyer, died on Dec. 1 after a \u201cheroic struggle,\u201d an obituary for Marion read<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNothing is normal. Maybe nothing will ever be normal again,\u201d Thomas posted on Instagram<\/a> on Sunday morning. \u201cFor me, it won\u2019t. My husband is gone. ?.\u201d<\/p>\n

He and Thomas, 46, had a 5-year-old son named Miles. They wed in 2013. <\/p>\n

Early last year, Marion suffered a stroke<\/a> at the age of 40. Thomas spoke about her husband\u2019s health<\/a> this past May, saying that he had progressed to walking with assistance after coming home in a wheelchair after the stroke. <\/p>\n

Marion, a Bethesda, Maryland, native, was a partner and office practice leader in the Tax Transactions group at Mayer Brown LLP, according to his obituary. He graduated from the University of Michigan (BA), the George Washington School of Law (JD with Honors) and the NYU School of Law (LL.M). <\/p>\n

In her Instagram post Sunday, Thomas begged people to \u201chold onto what you do have right now instead of focusing on what you don\u2019t,\u201d adding: \u201cOne thing we all have is kindness. Absorb it, extend it, exhaust it. Because in the end, the ONLY thing that matters is love.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I type through tears, I embrace gratitude \u2026 holding our precious son Miles and memories, of the time I did have with Michael, closer to my broken heart,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n

Some of Thomas\u2019 friends and NBC colleagues shared their condolences on the post, including Jenna Bush Hager, who commented, \u201cBobbie, your strength amazes. Love you so. \u2728\u2728.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marion is set to be buried on Dec. 6.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
