Bad Bunny\u2019s EL \u00daLTIMO TOUR DEL MUNDO<\/em> is the No. 1 album in America this week, which means that for the first time in the Billboard album chart\u2019s 62-year history, the No. 1 LP is an entirely Spanish-language album. It debuted with 116,000 equivalent album units, Billboard<\/em> reports<\/a>. Miley Cyrus\u2019 Plastic Hearts<\/em> debuted at No. 2 this week.<\/p>\n

According to Billboard<\/em>, previous No. 1 albums including Selena\u2019s Dreaming of You<\/em> (1995) and Il Divo\u2019s Ancora<\/em> (2006) were mostly sung in Spanish. Four all-Spanish-language albums that previously debuted in the top 5 (but didn\u2019t reach No. 1) include Bad Bunny\u2019s YHLQMDLG<\/em>, Mana\u2019s Amar es Combatir<\/em>, and Shakira\u2019s Fijaci\u00f3n Oral: Vol. 1<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The LP marks is Bad Bunny\u2019s third full-length release of 2020, following May\u2019s LAS QUE NO IBAN A SALIR<\/em> and Februrary\u2019s YHLQMDLG<\/em>. After performing with Ivy Queen and Nesi at the Billboard Music Awards, he was forced to cancel a scheduled performance at the American Music Awards due to a positive COVID-19 test.<\/p>\n
