RAM is an important specification on your smartphone. The amount your phone has can greatly impact performance. If you\u2019re curious how much RAM you have on your Android phone, we\u2019ll show you how to find out.<\/p>\n

To see how much RAM is on your Android phone, you first have to enable the hidden Developer Options menu. You can do a lot with these lesser-known settings, including seeing your phone\u2019s memory usage.<\/p>\n

First, swipe down from the top (once or twice, depending on your device\u2019s manufacturer), and then tap the gear icon to open the Settings menu.<\/p>\n

Next, scroll all the way down and select \u201cAbout Phone.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the bottom, tap \u201cBuild Number\u201d repeatedly (usually, about five times\u00a0in quick succession) until the \u201cYou are now a developer\u201d message app<\/a>ears.<\/p>\n

At the top of the page, you\u2019ll see \u201cMemory,\u201d as well as how much memory you have, but you can tap this option to see more information.<\/p>\n

This screen will look slightly different depending on your phone\u2019s manufacturer, but the number next to \u201cTotal Memory\u201d is how much RAM your phone has.<\/p>\n

\"Memory<\/p>\n

The RAM listed here will usually be slightly lower than what was advertised. For example, the Pixel 5 has \u201c8 GB of RAM,\u201d but the system only shows 7.8.<\/p>\n

The amount of RAM your phone has will never change, but you can always check here to see how much you\u2019re using.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
