It\u2019s more than strange that Hunter Biden released a statement today in the form of an official press release from his father\u2019s \u201cBiden-Harris transition\u201d operation, for the purpose of confirming he is under federal investigation for tax fraud.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,\u201d read his statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The statement had an addendum from his father: \u201cPresident-elect Biden is deeply proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sorry, that doesn\u2019t wash.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For too long, Joe has gotten away with cynically using sympathy for his druggie son to shield himself from scrutiny into his family\u2019s shady moneymaking schemes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But no longer is he a mere \u00adcandidate.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Barring a miracle, Biden will be sworn in as president next month and all the skeletons jumping around in his closet have grave \u00adimplications for America\u2019s national security.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When it comes to the Biden family\u2019s business associations with Communist Party entities in China, it doesn\u2019t get any more serious.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Damning evidence about the Bidens\u2019 lucrative influence-peddling schemes overseas is on the laptop Hunter fecklessly abandoned at a Delaware Mac repair shop, which was handed to the FBI last December.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Further damning evidence emerged during the election campaign from Hunter\u2019s former business partner Tony Bobulinski, who was interviewed by the FBI on Oct. 23.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At the time, Bobulinksi said \u201cJoe Biden and the Biden family is compromised\u201d by the Chinese Communist Party. He revealed that the \u201cBig Guy\u201d referred to in an e-mail on Hunter\u2019s laptop as the recipient of 10 percent of a lucrative Chinese deal was none other than Joe Biden.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bobulinski\u2019s revelations and The Post\u2019s stories about Hunter\u2019s laptop were successfully suppressed during the election campaign by Big Tech and ignored by Biden\u2019s media<\/a> allies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Just four days before the election, the Department of Justice confirmed that the FBI had been conducting a money-laundering investigation into Hunter since 2019, but the story barely caused a ripple.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So it is hard to believe that Hunter learned he was under federal investigation only \u201cyesterday for the first time.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Maybe the point of his statement was to head off an avalanche of damaging information emerging about the Biden family business and to frame the investigation merely as a tax probe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But a money-laundering probe takes us to a sinister place in which payments from China were purchasing something of value from Hunter, and it wasn\u2019t his expertise with a crack pipe.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Three reports this week point to serious concerns about China\u2019s influence over the upcoming Biden administration and certain Democratic politicians.\u00a0<\/p>\n
