“#Sofia Richie defends Olivia Jade’s ‘Red Table Talk’<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

A fellow privileged person has come forward to defend the so-called \u201cepitome of white privilege,\u201d Olivia Jade Giannulli.<\/p>\n

Jade shared a clip from her Tuesday \u201cRed Table Talk\u201d app<\/a>earance, in which she talked about the college admissions scandal, on her Instagram<\/a>, prompting Sofia Richie to praise her in the comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes girl!!?? Cant wait for what\u2019s ahead,\u201d 22-year-old Richie, the daughter of famed singer Lionel Richie, commented.<\/p>\n

An Instagram user, however, felt that Richie\u2019s comment was \u201cwhite privilege supporting white privilege.\u201d Taking the high road, Richie defended her friend against the commenter.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are all human, who make human mistakes,\u201d Richie wrote back. \u201cLife is too short to wish negativity on anyone. Sending you love.\u201d<\/p>\n

During Tuesday\u2019s episode of \u201cRed Table Talk,\u201d co-host Adrienne Banfield-Norris made it clear she didn\u2019t want Giannulli to appear on the show. <\/p>\n

\u201cI fought it to the nail,\u201d she said. \u201cI just found it really ironic that she chose three Black women to reach out to for her redemption story.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cHer being here is the epitome of white privilege to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Throughout the episode, Giannulli repeatedly owned up to her and her family\u2019s mistakes, which landed her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, in prison. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis has been a really eye-opening experience for me \u2026 and although there\u2019s a lot of negative around it and there\u2019s a lot of mistakes and wrongdoings, it\u2019s led me to have a completely different outlook on a lot of situations,\u201d she said.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
