A man was arrested for fatally striking a woman with his car as he was fleeing a separate collision in Brooklyn tonight, police said.<\/p>\n

Michael Rajpaul, 22, is accused of running over the 53-year-old woman near the intersection of East 55th Street and Glenwood Road in East Flatbush at about 10:16 p.m., authorities said.<\/p>\n

The woman was taken by EMS to Kings County Hospital, but could not be saved.<\/p>\n

Rajpaul allegedly hit the victim in his Hyundai as he was fleeing the wrong way down 55th Street from an earlier collision with a BMW sedan, police said.<\/p>\n

In the second crash, in addition to the pedestrian, Rajpaul struck a Honda sedan, cops said.<\/p>\n

Police charged Rajpaul with manslaughter, assault and reckless driving.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
