January marks the return to Japanese TV of Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a>, an ongoing short form TV anime based on the regional humor manga by Masaki Andou about a Tokyo boy who learns to love Nagoya's unique charms after befriending an energetic local girl, and now a short teaser trailer hints at the continuing adventures of Monaka Yatogame and company in the third season.<\/p>\n

The original Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a> manga is serialized in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Rex<\/em> shonen manga magazine. Crunchyroll describes the story of the series<\/a> as follows:<\/p>\n

After growing up in Tokyo, high school student Jin Kaito moves to Nagoya where he meets Yatogame Monaka, a fellow student who puts her Nagoya dialect on full display. With her cat-like appearance and unvarnished Nagoya dialect, Yatogame won't open up to him at all. This popular local comedy is increasing the status of Nagoya through observation of the adorable Yatogame-chan!<\/em><\/p>\n

The Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/a> TV anime is directed by Hisayoshi Hirasawa and features animation production by Saetta. The series will broadcast in Japan on TV Aichi and BS11 beginning on January 10, 2021, with an additional broadcast to follow on AT-X beginning on January 12, 2021.<\/p>\n
