\nLegendary singer Dionne Warwick<\/strong> is not happ<\/a>y with TV host\u00a0Wendy Williams<\/strong> right now\u2026 and for good reason!<\/p>\n

The 56-year-old daytime TV talker called Warwick out during\u00a0The Wendy Williams Show<\/em> on Wednesday, critiquing the 79-year-old singer\u2019s catchy tweets and referring to an old marijuana charge from decades ago. Whoa! That\u2019s gotta be below the belt!<\/p>\n

It all started on Wendy\u2019s Wednesday morning show, during her opening \u201cHot Topics\u201d segment. Responding to the viral tweets coming from Warwick\u2019s Twitter<\/a><\/strong> account \u2014 with which Dionne has gotten some help from her niece, Brittani<\/strong> \u2014 Wendy went in on her elder.<\/p>\n

Talking directly to the audience, the TV host called Warwick a \u201cbeautiful woman,\u201d but added (below):<\/p>\n

\u201cShe doesn\u2019t like me though, I know she doesn\u2019t like me. She\u2019s been here. She\u2019s a friend to the show. She\u2019s a friend to the show \u2019cause she has something to promote and we\u2019re the social influencers and she\u2019s smart. But, once she gets off the show, you know she\u2019s probably like, \u2018Bitch.\u2019 It\u2019s okay, Ms. Warwick, it\u2019s okay.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Whoa! Where did that come from?!<\/p>\n

Wendy wasn\u2019t done there, either! She referred to some of Warwick\u2019s funny recent tweets that teased\u00a0The Weeknd<\/strong>, only to then double down on the bad stuff! The New Jersey native added this (below), referencing an old 2002 marijuana charge about which Warwick claimed she was framed:<\/p>\n

\u201cI totally believe that she is doing her own tweeting, but I think that Brittani is her right hand. After Aunt Dionne does what she wants, after midnight, maybe after some bud. Well, you remember a few years ago, aunt Dionne was stopped at the Miami airport trying to get back to Jersey and you know, Jersey now has the bud. But, Miami is \u2018buddier.\u2019 TSA stopped aunt Dionne and opened up a lipstick tube and found four, excuse me, 11 pre-rolled joints. Oh yeah, they got the dog on it [and] it was weed\u2026 Yeah, she\u2019s still [consuming marijuana.] After midnight, a little bud, a little Chardonnay.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yikes!!!<\/p>\n

Still, Wendy tried to end her segment drama-free, saying she was \u201conly having fun\u201d with the singer, and concluding:<\/p>\n

\u201cAunt Dionne knows how to stay relevant and Brittani is right there giving her all the filters and checking it over before she sends [it] and I think that\u2019s a great thing. I think if you\u2019re a person of a particular age, you need social media and you need to get down sometimes and talk at these kids, not to them, at them. But you did need someone in your family to make sure that you\u2019re coming off correct.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Hmmm\u2026 OK\u2026<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t take long for the segment to get back to Warwick!<\/p>\n

Tweeting on Wednesday about Wendy\u2019s comments, the singer claimed \u201ca friend alerted\u201d her to the show, and responded in a multi-part tweet (below):<\/p>\n

My hope is my name will refrain from being spoken or thought of by her as this conversation was held a few years ago letting her know there was nor would be any need for her to say the name Dionne Warwick for any reason. I don\u2019t believe one has to be mean to get noticed. (2\/2)<\/p>\n
