Developers ConsenSys identified that DeFi protocols are currently too inefficient for professional trading firms, and there is no \u201crobust reporting for accounting, tax, and P&amp;L purposes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As per the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/consensys.net\/blog\/press-release\/metamask-early-adopter-program-enables-institutional-access-to-defi\/\">announcement<\/a>, the upgraded version is aimed at \u201ctrading firms and crypto custodians\u201d and will provide them with \u201cinstitutional-grade features,\u201d including the ability to \u201cswaps tokens, borrow, lend, and invest in Ethereum <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lications.\u201d It will also provide users with \u201coperational, security, and reporting features necessary to run a professional DeFi trading desk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Digital asset custody firm Curv will be the wallet\u2019s first user, incorporating the new MetaMask wallet to build its new Curv DeFi product, which will be used by the firm\u2019s existing clients, including eToro.<\/p>\n<p>Curv CEO and co-founder Itay Malinger said there is a pressing need for institutional-grade DeFi solutions:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cSince there is no reliable and secure institutional solution for DeFi, organizations are reverting to retail-level use of MetaMask or custom integrations with individual apps as a workaround.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In the lead-up to the institutional wallet\u2019s release, ConsenSys Codefi will launch an Early Adopter Program where \u201cselect partners, custodians, and professional trading firms\u201d will gain early access to help shape specific product features.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, MetaMask launched its mobile wallet and upgraded the Web3 browser wallet to 8.0 with added features, including the ability to \u201cselect one or more accounts to associate with a website.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"defi_newsletter\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
