Michael Rainey Jr. compares his love scenes on \u201cPower Book II: Ghost\u201d with Bollywood movies<\/a> when it comes to preserving his character Tariq\u2019s virginity.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe funny thing is, Tariq \u2014 he has done it. It just wasn\u2019t shown; it was either Season 4 or 5, with Ray Ray\u2019s niece, Destiny. That\u2019s when Tariq supposedly lost his innocence. But they didn\u2019t show it, so nobody really noticed it. But he definitely lost sexual innocence,\u201d he told The Post about his role in the Starz series.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s like a Bollywood movie, in a way. The series is known for their crazy sex scenes and stuff like that. But who knows?\u201d he said. \u201cTariq is getting grown; he\u2019s in college now, so who knows what will happ<\/a>en soon?\u201d<\/p>\n

As for his potential love triangle with Lauren Baldwin (played by Paige Hurd) and Diana Tejada (LaToya Tonodeo), Rainey thinks one lover would suit him better than the other.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou got two beautiful women in his life right now. But the thing is, he\u2019s trying to figure out who he can trust,\u201d he said. \u201cBecause, you know, Diana \u2014 she\u2019s a little easier to trust because she\u2019s in the streets. That\u2019s No. 1. No. 2, they kind of have something in common with Tariq\u2019s mom being in jail and her dad being in jail. I feel like they\u2019re close \u2014 in the same world.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cHe can trust Lauren, but she can\u2019t really know what Tariq is going through because what he\u2019s going through is not normal at all. She\u2019s a regular school girl; a lot of things that Tariq is going through will probably blow her mind. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut if I have to pick, honestly, I would say Diana.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPower Book II: Ghost\u201d airs at 8 p.m. Sunday on Starz<\/a>.\n <\/div>\n
