\nRick Rubin is heading to court in February for charges stemming from an alleged violation of quarantine in Hawaii, local news<\/a> outlet The Garden Island<\/em><\/a> reports. Rubin was reportedly cited in September for walking along an empty area of Anini Beach, near his lodging location in Princeville on the island of Kauai, in violation of the island\u2019s mandatory two-week quarantine period for off-island visitors.<\/p>\n

The court date, where Rick Rubin will enter his plea, is set for February 9, 2021, a spokesperson for the Hawaii State Judiciary confirmed to Pitchfork. According to The Garden Island<\/em>, it\u2019s unclear if the music producer will be required to physically app<\/a>ear in court.<\/p>\n

Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for Rick Rubin for comment and information.<\/p>\n
