\nTommy \u201cTiny\u201d Lister<\/strong>, the actor probably best known for his role as Deebo in the movie Friday<\/em>, has passed away. He was only 62.<\/p>\n

According to TMZ<\/em>, he was found unresponsive at his Marina Del Rey, California apartment on Thursday, and was pronounced dead at the scene. No cause of death has been released.<\/p>\n

The star\u2019s manager Cindy Cowan<\/strong> spoke to People<\/em> about his sudden and tragic passing, claiming he had been showing \u201cCOVID symptoms\u201d for a week, though he never tested positive. Tommy had even been scheduled to work on a film over the weekend, but canceled this past Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was just really complaining, but he was too weak to go to the doctor.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Per the TMZ<\/em> report, the LA County Sheriff\u2019s Department\u2019s release stated how \u201cfriends and business associates\u201d became worried yesterday after they hadn\u2019t heard from him since Wednesday night. A welfare check was made on Thursday where deputies found Lister dead.<\/p>\n

They also added how cops believe he died of natural causes, but of course, an autopsy will be performed.<\/p>\n

Cowan, who confirmed a friend had gone to check up on him, reminisced about her client to People<\/em>, calling him a \u201ca gentle giant and one-of-a-kind.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA man that\u2019s like been a brother to me for 20 years.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Ice Cube<\/strong>, who starred alongside Tommy in the Friday<\/em> film series<\/a>, also paid tribute. He took to Twitter<\/a><\/strong> on Friday, writing<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cRIP Tiny \u2018Deebo\u2019 Lister. America\u2019s favorite bully was a born entertainer who would pop into character at the drop of a hat terrifying people on and off camera. Followed by a big smile and laugh. Thank you for being a good dude at heart. I miss you already.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
