Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Glenn Greenwald said Thursday that potential wrongdoing by President Joe Biden\u2019s son, exposed by The Post, was \u201csuppressed prior to the election\u201d by most other media and Big Tech.<\/p>\n

In a column he self-published online<\/a>, Greenwald specifically cited a Post article that revealed emails from Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop with plans for lucrative business deals with the since-vanished chairman of China\u2019s largest private energy company.<\/p>\n

Greenwald also said the emails exposed by The Post raised a \u201ccritical question\u201d of what then-candidate Biden knew about his son\u2019s overseas business dealings.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of these vital facts and questions about Hunter\u2019s activities in China were largely suppressed from the voting population by the bulk of the U.S. media, working in tandem with Silicon Valley (which simply prevented the story from being discussed and shared on its key platforms), and the intelligence community,\u201d Greenwald wrote on the Substack website.<\/p>\n

Greenwald \u2014 who quit the Intercept over claims the outlet he co-founded \u201ccensored\u201d a piece he wrote about Biden and his son\u2019s emails \u2014 also noted that some news<\/a> outlets started aggressively reporting on Hunter Biden only after his admission Wednesday that he\u2019s under investigation for possible tax fraud.<\/p>\n

Greenwald cited a Politico report that said the probe \u201chas been more extensive\u201d than Hunter indicated, as well as a CNN report that investigators have examined the gift to him of a 2.8-carat diamond by former CEFC China Energy Chairman Ye Jianming.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of these topics are what the large bulk of the U.S. media, working in concert with the intelligence community and Silicon Valley, suppressed prior to the election,\u201d Greenwald wrote.<\/p>\n

Greenwald \u2014 who helped The Guardian US win the 2014 Pulitzer Prize by working with whistleblower Edward Snowden to expose secret surveillance by the National Security Agency \u2014 noted the New York Times reported that while Joe Biden\u2019s team had attacked The Post\u2019s stories, it never \u201cdisputed the authenticity of the [laptop] files upon which they were based.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greenwald also accused \u201cmuch of the U.S. media and Silicon Valley giants\u201d of working with \u201cprofessional liars of the CIA\u201d to dismiss the emails as part of a \u201cRussian intelligence operation\u201d because they had the \u201coverarching goal\u201d of defeating President Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the choice these media outlets made,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey got the election outcome they wanted. But they and their reputations and legacy will have to live with this choice.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
