If you\u2019re trying to figure out why so much of the recent business <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> you\u2019re reading seems familiar, it\u2019s because we\u2019re stuck. We\u2019re waiting on a fiscal stimulus package like it\u2019s Godot, and we\u2019re pingponging back and forth between exuberance over COVID-19 vaccines and despair over the case counts that continue to grow in the meantime. <\/p>\n<p> Over the past week, investors poured money into <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a> ETFs, the ultimate \u201creopening trade,\u201d and into copper funds, perhaps the ultimate economic-expansion play. But by Wednesday, stay-at-home plays were once again winning out over re-opening ones. <\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       With apologies to Yogi Berra, investors are at a fork in the road \u2013 and they\u2019re taking it. <\/p>\n<p>Thanks for reading, keep staying safe and healthy, and H<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>y Hanukkah!<\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_final_fund_frontier\"><\/span>The final fund frontier?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p> Is the market too saturated with \u201cinnovation\u201d-themed ETFs? <\/p>\n<p>The performance \u2013 and pedigree \u2013 of one fund suggests not. The Innovator Loup Frontier Tech ETF<br \/>\n        LOUP,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/204265147\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.37%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       has gained nearly 50% in the past three months, even as broad tech indexes<br \/>\n        QQQ,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/208575548\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.22%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       are up only about 9%. Loup is the venture-capital firm founded by tech veteran Gene Munster, among others.<\/p>\n<p>But perhaps more compelling is what LOUP doesn\u2019t have. Its overlap with other popular innovative-tech ETFs is minuscule: about 1% of its holdings are also found in Ark Invest\u2019s benchmark Innovation ETF<br \/>\n        ARKK,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/204808965\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-1.06%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       and only about 1.8% of its portfolio is also in QQQ, according to a fund analysis. <\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s according to plan, Munster told MarketWatch. \u201cThe purpose<br \/>\nof the ETF is to find a set of less-known companies weighted for revenue<br \/>\ngrowth. We try to be thoughtful about nonconsensus ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That strategy gels with Munster\u2019s background and his work at Loup Ventures, which invests in frontier tech companies \u2013 but he makes a good case that the present moment calls for a strategy like LOUP\u2019s. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe spend a lot of time looking at early-stage tech,\u201d<br \/>\nMunster said. \u201cWe also spend time looking at FANG. What is clear to us is that performance<br \/>\naround FANG is understandable but not sustainable. We refer to a fracturing of<br \/>\nFANG: Apple may be a good one to continue to own, but some of the stocks are<br \/>\nnot going to be able to turn in the same performance. The ideal customer for<br \/>\nthis is an investor who recognizes that what has worked in the past won\u2019t work<br \/>\nin the future. We need to define new areas of tech growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"cx-membership-tile\"><\/div>\n<p> LOUP holds only 30 positions, including some well-known names like Pinterest Inc.<br \/>\n        PINS,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/211319641\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.71%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       and Snap Inc.,<br \/>\n        SNAP,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/205087158\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.34%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       as well as some lesser-known ones like Trimble Inc.<br \/>\n        TRMB,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/206026592\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.74%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       It\u2019s also global, with only about 60% of the portfolio coming from the U.S., and rebalanced quarterly.<\/p>\n<p>Like Ark\u2019s Cathie Wood, who thinks humanity is on the cusp of five different innovation platforms at once, for the first time in over a century, Munster also sees us nearing a historical pivot point.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re up this acceleration curve in tech,\u201d he said. LOUP also looks at several disruptive themes, he said:  artificial intelligence, computer perception, robotics, autonomous vehicles, virtual reality, and mixed\/augmented reality. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe measure transformation based on revenue growth. That is one lesson we\u2019ve learned over investing for 20-plus years. In tech, if you\u2019re not growing, you\u2019re not an investible theme.\u201d<\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Exchange-traded_sundries\"><\/span>Exchange-traded sundries<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p> Cboe Global Markets<br \/>\n        CBOE,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/208166986\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-1.12%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       is now the second-largest primary listings venue for exchange-traded products in the U.S., the company said in early December, after what it calls \u201crecord gains in new listings\u201d in 2020. In the year to date, Cboe has captured 35% of all new product launches in the market and now lists more than 400 ETPs in the U.S.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Was it \u201cthe biggest ETF trade in history?<\/p>\n<div data-layout=\"inline\n              \" data-layout-mobile=\"\" class=\"\n        media-object\n        type-InsetTweet\n          inline\n    scope-web|mobileapps\n  article__inset\n        article__inset--type-InsetTweet\n          article__inset--inline\n  \"><\/p>\n<div class=\"dynamic-inset-container article__inset__dynamic\">\n<style>\n            iframe.twitter-tweet {\n                width: 100% !important;\n            }\n        <\/style>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\"><p>\n            <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EricBalchunas\/status\/1334867069104427011\"><\/a>\n            <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>        <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>       $7 billion left the Vanguard S&amp;P 500 ETF<br \/>\n        VOO,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/201209218\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.13%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       on Tuesday, according to Bloomberg <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a>. Industry sources, like Eric Balchunas, think it was likely a case of Merrill Lynch advisers rebalancing their model portfolios away from large-cap U.S. stocks. <\/p>\n<p>But just because the herd is thundering, it doesn\u2019t necessarily make a noise. The $7 billion \u201cbiggest ETF trade in history\u201d only amounts to a rounding error when compared with the fund\u2019s $174 billion in assets. <\/p>\n<h6><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Is_there_an_ETF_for_that\"><\/span>Is there an ETF for that?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6>\n<p> \u2018Tis the season\u2026 to buy a religion-themed ETF?<\/p>\n<p>There are ETFs for that, as we all know, from \u201cBIBL\u201d to \u201cSPSK,\u201d which stands for sukuk, though there is no Jewish-themed fund \u2013 a pity for enterprising newsletter writers in search of a clever peg on the eve of Hanukkah.<\/p>\n<p>Faith-based ETFs \u201ctake values based investing to the next level,\u201d<br \/>\nsaid Todd Rosenbluth, CFRA\u2019s head of mutual fund and ETF research. <\/p>\n<p>CFRA classifies faith-based ETFs as a different flavor of ESG funds, Rosenbluth told MarketWatch. And just like with funds that try to address investor concerns about the environment, social issues, or corporate governance, faith-based ETFs can take either an exclusionary approach, omitting offensive companies, or an inclusionary one that buys stocks that best fit the fund\u2019s ethos.<\/p>\n<p>Rosenbluth gives an example of what that means in practice: The Global X S&amp;P 500 Catholic Values ETF<br \/>\n        CATH,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/209661629\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.59%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       starts with the broad index, then exclude companies that do not adhere to the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.globalxetfs.com\/funds\/cath\/\" class=\"icon none\">Socially Responsible Investment Guidelines as outlined by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops<\/a>. Its portfolio comprises 455 companies and has performed roughly in line with the S&amp;P 500 this year, up 15%.<\/p>\n<p>That contrasts with the Inspire 100 ETF<br \/>\n        BIBL,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/208449622\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.11%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       which selects 100 of the \u201cmost inspiring, biblically aligned U.S. large cap companies,\u201d according to I<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inspireetf.com\/bibl\" class=\"icon none\">nspireETFs\u2019 website<\/a>. That selection process has given it a bit of an edge: it\u2019s up nearly 20% in 2020. <\/p>\n<p>Anyone pursuing what they hope is a more righteous investing path probably isn\u2019t chasing pure performance, however. Investors have plowed roughly $228 million into the category through November, according to CFRA data, with $78.8 million flowing to CATH, a little more than double the take for BIBL. <\/p>\n<p>There are similar discrepancies for management fees. CATH charges 29 basis points and the SP Funds Dow Jones Global Sukuk ETF<br \/>\n        SPSK,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/215745602\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.10%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       charges 65.
