Thank to Spotify\u2019s \u201cRecently Played\u201d section, there\u2019s no hiding your secret music vices. If you want to keep your music habits secret, you\u2019ll need to clear the entries from your Spotify \u201cRecently Played\u201d list by following these steps.<\/p>\n

This is only possible for Spotify users using the Windows<\/a> or Mac<\/a> desktop app<\/a>. Unfortunately, it isn\u2019t possible to clear your \u201cRecently Played\u201d list using the mobile app or Spotify web player, but clearing the entries using the desktop app will also remove them from any linked apps (including on mobile).<\/p>\n

If you want to clear your \u201cRecently Played\u201d list, start by opening the Spotify app on your PC or Mac. In the left-hand menu, click the \u201cRecently Played\u201d option.<\/p>\n

In the \u201cRecently Played\u201d menu, you\u2019ll see a list of your previously played songs, albums, and artists.<\/p>\n

Hover your mouse over one of the listed covers to view the available settings. You can play the music again, add it to your \u201cLiked Songs\u201d list, or remove the items completely.<\/p>\n

To remove the item from your \u201cRecently Played\u201d list, click the three-dot menu icon.<\/p>\n

In the options menu that appears, click the \u201cRemove From Recently Played\u201d option.<\/p>\n

Once the button is clicked, the item will disappear from the \u201cRecently Played\u201d list. This will also remove the item from other Spotify devices linked to your account, including on mobile devices.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, there isn\u2019t a way to clear the \u201cRecently Played\u201d list in one go, so you\u2019ll need to repeat these steps to erase each entry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
