A New Mexico art collective is spurring outrage and ire for their pandemic relief fundraiser.<\/p>\n

The Albuquerque art group, Antlion Entertainment Art Collective, was originally supposed to be \u201cSit on Santa\u2019s Lap\u201d but, due to a typo, turned into \u201cSit on Satan\u2019s Lap<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was actually a typo, a clerical error and I just kind of rolled with it because everyone needs the money, money is tight right now,\u201d an anonymous artist behind the fundraiser told local news<\/a> station KRQE<\/a>. The artist now wants to be referred to as \u201cSatan\u201d although it is unclear if it is his lap people will be sitting on.<\/p>\n

The event is scheduled to take place at the University of New Mexico\u2019s Johnson Field on Dec. 19 and costs $6.66 to attend.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re hosting an event where I will be behind a barrier with only my knee exposed and so children can sit on my lap and get what they want for Christmas because Santa is hiding out like a coward and I\u2019m willing to step up to the plate,\u201d \u201cSatan\u201d told the station.<\/p>\n

On the site, the fundraiser notes: \u201cHow many people have been saved by prayer? Zero. How many have been saved by wearing a mask? 130,000!\u00a0<\/p>\n

God: 0.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A little piece of cloth: 130,000. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The numbers don\u2019t lie!<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t put your money in the church collection plate; put it to actual use instead.\u201d\u00a0<\/a>\n <\/div>\n
