Two men who were considered armed and dangerous after escaping a Tennessee prison were app<\/a>rehended in Southern Florida on Sunday, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Robert Lee Brown and Christopher Osteen were captured by the Broward County Sheriff\u2019s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service\u00a0after fleeing jail and tying up two men before driving off with their vehicles, according to the\u00a0Henry County Sheriff\u2019s Office in Tennessee.<\/p>\n

Brown and Osteen were inside a stolen pick up when they were found at about 8 p.m., according to Florida\u2019s Local10 News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Both men fled on foot and were apprehended shortly after.<\/p>\n

It was unclear how the men escaped on Friday morning but a short time later they kidnapped a man from a boat ramp on the Mississippi River and took off with his vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom statements made by the victim, who was blindfolded, it was believed that another vehicle had been taken by the escapees at an unknown location,\u201d the Henry County Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n

The men found their second victim in Paris, Tenn. later Friday night and tied him up before stealing his 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup.<\/p>\n

Brown, 36, had been serving an 18-year sentence for aggravated rape. Osteen, 34, had been serving an eight-year sentence for burglary, reckless aggravated assault and theft.<\/p>\n

They were both being housed by the Tennessee Department of Corrections on Sunday night.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
