\nSean Ono Lennon, a British-American musician, songwriter, and producer, has auctioned<\/a> a tokenized digital illustration on NFT marketplace, Rarible.<\/p>\n

According to Rarible data<\/a>, Lennon sold a piece entitled \u201cEtharian 1\u201d on Dec. 14 for 5.5 wrapp<\/a>ed Ether (WETH), worth about $3,200 at time of publication.<\/p>\n

The musician\u00a0subsequently congratulated the new piece\u2019s owner on Twitter<\/a>: \u201cCongrats @etyoung for winning the most important drawing ever drawn by anyone ever! May she treat you kindly in these winter months.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lennon\u00a0first announced<\/a> his NFT auction on Dec. 13, noting that it was his first experience with NFT art, as well as his first digital drawing. The artist\u00a0noted<\/a>\u00a0that the girl depicted in the artwork \u201csubsists solely on Ethereum.\u201d<\/p>\n
