After a chance encounter with rock-legend and life-long idol, Emerson Gilmore, Eric is willing to take one more chance at success, the way Emerson Gilmore did it back in the 70s\u2014out in the Canadian mountains with a guitar and a bag of psychedelic drugs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REVIEW:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re a rock band seeking a veto writer\u2019s block, don\u2019t stay out in the terrifying forest and take Indian drugs, stay home and do regular acid. We forget how scary Native Americans can be in horror stories, with all the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a>s they took on peyote etc. Someone took advantage of that in this film and it works well. The backdrop is a camping trip. The players are 3 beautiful women and a rock band seeking pharmaceutical inspiration for its next album. Both camping and rock music are familiar tropes for horror. Here they work together in a similar and fun way. I didn\u2019t think I would like this film as much as I did. it\u2019s not for everybody though. If you like <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">movies<\/a> where the cast are on a psychedelic trip, you\u2019ll enjoy this horror. For a low budget film, it delivers the scares. I give a 10\/10 to visuals and cinematography. It\u2019s a hammock saying, come and sit awhile.<span id=\"more-161593\"\/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-162180\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-6.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-6-310x172.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-6-100x55.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>After the 3 bikini clad babes have a little dialog with the vacationing rocker, we are introduced to an endearing actress: Parmiss Sehat (April \u201cMay\u201d). I recall her role on Keifer Sutherland\u2019s \u201cDesignated Survivor.\u201d Her eyes are entrancing and she plays a hopeless fan exceedingly well. The bronze blond rocker is played by Josh Collins. He\u2019s been in \u201cThe 100,\u201d \u201cSupernatural,\u201d and a few other roles. Needless to say, this is not a no-namer film. The fan follows the band on their canoeing drug trip and as you can probably imagine, the films descends quickly in chaos and horror. Oh and don\u2019t forget the supernatural aspects of the \u201cIndian Drug.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-162183\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-3.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-3-310x146.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-3-100x47.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-162184\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"289\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-4.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-4-310x163.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-4-100x53.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The guitarist (Rob Raco\/\u201dSupernatral\u201d) acquires drugs before the trip and they are supposedly drugs the Indians\u2019 use to do their religious ceremonies. Of course it\u2019s a little too strong and they \u201csee\u201d things. Hallucination movies can be great. They are meant to emulate a drug trip so you will like it more if you\u2019ve been on one. First, Priss\u2019 character has something explode in her head. From there all manner of camping horror mayhem breaks loose. This isn\u2019t acid, we find out, it\u2019s something much more potent and other worldly. as the makeshift creatures <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared, I found myself wondering if they were really people disguised by the drug. it wasn\u2019t too clear but I let myself believe it and really enjoyed the thrills! The best low budget creature I\u2019ve seen was in \u201cThe Village\u201d and thus I learned you don\u2019t need cgi for deep, dark creepy!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-162185\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-5.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-5-310x162.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-5-100x52.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The creatures look like paper mache costumes but they still are jarring. I was reminded by the low budget things that this isn\u2019t a blockbuster. At the same time, any horror fan who\u2019s been on a trip with friends will recoil in delight at these humble drug horrors. The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred. As is sometimes the case in druggie movies, the hallucination is revealed to be an actual person whom they don\u2019t mean to kill. I suspected that here but they left it open. Camping movies that get this sub genre very right are \u201cBackcountry\u201d and \u201cThe Blair Witch Project.\u201d This film \u201c<strong>Archons<\/strong>\u201d puts drugs into the mix and I think pulls it off quite well.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-162181\" src=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"297\" srcset=\"https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-1.jpg 550w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-1-310x167.jpg 310w, https:\/\/horrornews.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Archons-20018-movie-1-100x54.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>In conclusion, the band somehow gets its inspiration but at a \u2154 of the band cost. Only the guitarist survives and is heard on the radio lamenting the loss of his band mates. Is the lead singer alive? The visuals and premise kept me quite entertained but I can\u2019t really plug the weak and cryptic ending. Nonetheless, I did enjoy this film as a sort of psychedelic but low budget hallucination. It suffers from bad acting and truly rustic creatures but recovers with a premise rocking horror and\/or drug experienced fans will enjoy. 7\/10<\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
