\n President Trump on Tuesday said efforts by protesters to create an \u201cAutonomous Zone\u201d in the capital will be \u201cmet with serious force.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will never be an \u2018Autonomous Zone\u2019 in Washington, D.C., as long as I\u2019m your President. If they try they will be met with serious force!,\u201d Trump wrote on twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The post comes after the president on Monday warned protesters who tried to topple a statue of President Andrew Jackson in Lafayette Park and vandalized the pillars in front of historic St. John\u2019s Episcopal Church with \u201cBHAZ \u201c- Black House Autonomous Zone.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s similar to the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone protesters carved out in a downtown area of Seattle.<\/p>\n

Trump said he wouldn\u2019t stand for protesters vandalizing statues.<\/p>\n

\u201cNumerous people arrested in D.C. for the disgraceful vandalism, in Lafayette Park, of the magnificent Statue of Andrew Jackson, in addition to the exterior defacing of St. John\u2019s Church across the street,\u201d he tweeted Monday night.<\/p>\n

\u201c10 years in prison under the Veteran\u2019s Memorial Preservation Act. Beware!\u201d<\/p>\n

Protesters tied ropes around the Jackson statue and spray-painted \u201cKiller\u201d on its base before US Park and DC police dispersed the crowd.<\/p>\n

Trump visited the church on June 1, just after the president threatened to invoke an 1807 law that would allow him to deploy US military troops to break up violent protests.<\/span>\n <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
