As always, Google Drive, Google Photos, and Gmail count.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning June 1, 2021, however, the following will also count:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New photos or videos uploaded to Google Photos (including those of high quality).<\/li>\n<li>New\u00a0Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Forms, or Jamboard files.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, anything uploaded to these services <em>before<\/em> June 1, 2021, will not count; only files that are modified after that date will.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_Long_Until_My_Data_Is_Deleted\"><\/span>How Long Until My Data Is Deleted?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Starting June 1, 2021, Google will also implement a few new policies for deleting data on inactive accounts. Google might delete data in the following circumstances:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If your account is inactive for two years.<\/li>\n<li>If you\u2019re over your storage limit for two years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The two-year countdown begins on June 1, 2021. So, if you\u2019re inactive, 2023 is the earliest anything would be deleted. Google will also send you multiple alerts before anything is removed.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_Do_I_Keep_My_Google_Account_Active\"><\/span>How Do I Keep My Google Account Active?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You might be wondering what you have to do to keep your account from becoming \u201cinactive.\u201d Well, it\u2019s simple. Just visit\u00a0Gmail, Google Drive, or Google Photos while signed in to your Google account on the web or mobile. That\u2019s it!
