A magazine journalist claims Jeffrey Toobin once left her a voicemail describing a sex act he planned to perform on her \u2014 before calling back later to say he\u2019d reconciled with his wife, according to a report on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Toobin\u2019s alleged past \u201cpervy\u201d behavior was detailed in a New York Times article tracing the ex-New Yorker scribe\u2019s downfall since his caught-on-Zoom masturbation incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just like, \u2018Jeffrey? Ick!\u2019\u201d Lisa DePaulo told the newspaper<\/a> about the 2003 encounter.<\/p>\n

DePaulo, whose work has app<\/a>eared in New York Magazine and GQ, said that Toobin had asked her out for New Year\u2019s Eve, telling her he\u2019d split from wife Amy McIntosh.<\/p>\n

DePaulo accepted the date, and, a few days later, said she came home to find the vulgar voicemail.<\/p>\n

\u201cI kept the message and played it for all my friends,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Toobin, she said, even called her back to confirm she\u2019d gotten the message, and DePaulo told him: \u201cusually someone takes me to dinner first.\u201d<\/p>\n

Toobin told her that he was back together with his wife.<\/p>\n

Still, \u201cI didn\u2019t think he was a sexual predator,\u201d\u00a0DePaulo said. \u201cI just thought he was a nice guy who was pervy.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first time Toobin\u2019s reported sordid sex past has come to light \u2014 he was outed for\u00a0having an extramarital affair<\/a>\u00a0and getting his girlfriend pregnant about a decade ago.<\/p>\n

The 60-year-old, who has two adult kids by McIntosh, had a baby with Casey Greenfield, the daughter of one of Toobin\u2019s then-CNN colleagues, Jeff Greenfield, in 2009,\u00a0the Times previously reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Toobin \u2014 who has been married to McIntosh, his law school sweetheart, since 1986 \u2014 at first denied paternity of the baby, before tests showed he was the dad, the Times said.<\/p>\n

Casey, who is 14 years his junior, ended up taking Toobin to court in Manhattan over custody and financial support issues.<\/p>\n

When news<\/a> of the pair\u2019s affair made headlines around 2010, the now-defunct website Gawker\u00a0published an item<\/a>\u00a0about Toobin\u2019s alleged sexual habits titled, \u201cToo Hot For Print: CNN Anchor Jeffrey Toobin\u2019s Rumored XXX Sex Fetish.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

Toobin\u2019s personal life took center stage again in October, when Vice reported on the now-infamous video call that led to the star writer\u2019s fall from grace.<\/p>\n

During the virtual gathering \u2014 attended by other New Yorker notables and WNYC public radio staffers \u2014 Toobin \u201cwas seen lowering and raising his computer camera, exposing and touching his penis, and motioning an air kiss to someone other than his colleagues,\u201d the Times reported Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera,\u2019\u2019 Toobin said in a statement at the time.<\/p>\n

Toobin was suspended and later fired from The New Yorker, where he\u2019d worked for nearly three decades.<\/p>\n

New York Public Radio also banned the Harvard Law alum from its airwaves and podcasts and HBO in November edited him out of a cameo in the hit miniseries<\/a> \u201cThe Undoing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, despite his supposed downfall, Toobin is holding onto his post as senior legal analyst at CNN, where he requested a leave, and has several Hollywood projects in development.<\/p>\n

\u201cThree CNN employees say that network president Jeff Zucker is a big fan of Mr. Toobin\u2019s and a believer in second chances,\u201d the Times reported.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
