Childhood toys from\u00a0<em>Spider-Man<\/em>, <em>Star Trek<\/em>, <em>Speed Racer<\/em>,\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Planet of the Apes<\/em>\u00a0are present in his cabinets, which help keep the composer inspired.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Giacchino went into his studio to produce his debut album,\u00a0\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Travel<\/a>ogue Vol 1,\u201d along with the Nouvelle Modernica Orchestra<em>.\u00a0<\/em>For his long-awaited debut, the composer crafted a throwback to old radio shows, mixing together a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">science<\/a>-fiction narrative and lively lounge music. The album is melancholic fun. During our conversation with Giacchino we talked about the album. But he also told us about his listening habits, concert experiences, the music he relaxes to, dances to, and draws inspiration from. That\u2019s real, traditional music. To be fair, he lights up whenever he\u2019s talking about music, but he\u2019s especially giddy when St. Vincent is in the conversation. She\u2019s an experimental rock goddess whose name Giacchino mentions more than once. \u201cI love St. Vincent, oh my gosh,\u201d he said. \u201cShe\u2019s incredible. To me, she is absolutely one of my favorites, because there\u2019s a story in everything she does, and her voice is incredible. He loves them all for different reasons. <strong>Paul McCartney<\/strong>, however, is the one Beatle the composer has collaborated with in the past. \u201cI think Paul is incredible because, man, and he\u2019s still going,\u201d Giacchino said. \u201cI\u2019ve been very lucky enough to work with him on a couple of things. Getting to know him over the past seven years or so has been such a treat, because you realize, this is a man who just does this because he loves it. That is it. It\u2019s as simple as that. He loves the challenge that music gives him, and then he loves sharing the result of that challenge with everyone in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McCartney is not only still going and about to finally release the long-awaited <em>McCartney III<\/em>, but he\u2019s still putting on epic three-hour shows. They\u2019re joyful experiences, especially when you\u2019re singing along with over 40,000 people to \u201cHey Jude.\u201d \u201cJust incredible shows,\u201d Giacchino continues. \u201cAnd you listen to the breadth of work that he has done, and you\u2019re just like, is there anyone else on the planet that can say they have done what Paul McCartney has done? I would argue, no, in the music world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Giacchino didn\u2019t only sing the praises of McCartney, though, as he considers The Beatles to be the greatest band ever to walk the earth. \u201c<strong>George Harrison<\/strong>, of course, is a genius,\u201d the composer added. \u201cI love him. And John, I love him too, for his own thing. John\u2019s outlook on life and the world is was so special and so specific to him that his songs were John\u2019s songs. You just knew it. Giacchino has fond memories of seeing the\u00a0<em>Two-Lane Blacktop\u00a0<\/em>star more than once in concert. \u201cI remember one time seeing him in New Jersey and being blown away,\u201d Giacchino said. \u201cI couldn\u2019t believe that I was sitting in front of James Taylor. Again, I\u2019m always drawn to people whose songs tell stories and Paul\u2019s songs tell stories, James Taylor\u2019s songs tell stories, in the same way, that we could flash forward to now, St. Vincent, as we talked about. I love that so much.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Giacchino listed ACDC, Boston, and The Rolling Stones as other favorite concerts he\u2019s attended \u201cjust for the energy alone.\u201d \u201cAnd you\u2019re just like, how?\u201d Giacchino asked. \u201cWhere is this coming from? That\u2019s the thing, that\u2019s the experience you want. When you go to see a band like that, you don\u2019t want to walk away and go, \u2018Oh, that was fun.\u2019 You want to walk away and go, \u2018What the hell just h<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ened. That was amazing. How do they do that?&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Time to circle back to St. Vincent, who Giacchino says keeps that rock energy alive and well. \u201cI also love new music that took that formula into the new age, into a newer era, and not to keep harping on St. Vincent, but she definitely is someone who has done that for me, that I feel like, wow,\u201d he added. \u201cI\u2019ve been lucky to see her live a couple of times. Giacchino doesn\u2019t think so. On the subject of best concerts, he again name-checked The Beatle. \u201cWhen you\u2019re there in that audience, you can\u2019t remove yourself from that for the rest of your life,\u201d Giacchino said. \u201cYou\u2019ll always remember that moment, always. I have seen him many times over the years, but I think one of my favorite shows was at the Hollywood Bowl. It was the first time he had played there since he had played there with The Beatles, which was in 1964.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Personally and professionally, Giacchino has nothing but respect for the living legend who changed the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>. \u201cIt was amazing to see him on stage going, \u2018Wow, I remember being up here and then talking about what he remembered changing, there used to be a pond out there,&#8217;\u201d Giacchino added. \u201cAnd hearing those thoughts, I thought was special, because you could tell that it meant something to him. There are nights where you just dance until five in the morning, and then you watch the sun come up and then you go to bed, and then the next night you do it again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At Burning Man, Giacchino lets loose to house music. \u201cThere\u2019s actually a lot of house music that I like,\u201d he added. \u201cThere was a lot of club music. I really like aspects of dubstep, which is crazy. I have the widest range of taste in music. I love all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He does indeed love all of it, so much so he can\u2019t stop talking about his faves when our time is up. He had one last recommendation to share. \u201cOh, there\u2019s another artist, Jain,\u201d he concluded. \u201cOh my God, she\u2019s incredible too. She\u2019s a solo artist [pictured above]. She\u2019s awesome. A lot of her stuff makes you want to dance as well. So, it\u2019s a wide range of stuff, and I do love it all. I love the exploration of new music.
