Irish <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a><\/strong> was particularly merciless over the brogue <strong>Emily Blunt<\/strong> was doing in the rom-com\u2019s trailer. Even <strong>Jamie Dornan<\/strong>, who actually\u00a0<em>is<\/em> Irish, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>arently completely fails to capture the regional accent he\u2019s attempting.<\/p>\n<p>That looked like about the most egregious, noteworthy aspect of the film. In all other respects, <em>Wild Mountain Thyme<\/em> appeared to be a quaint throwback \u2014 full of tropes like the country gal who can\u2019t be bothered to run a brush through her hair but looks like a <strong>Revlon<\/strong> model anyway, the rich American who comes to town for nefarious business purposes and inexplicably falls in love, the childhood crushes who apparently spend 20 years together unable to see one another as romantic interests\u2026 It looks like a <strong>Hallmark<\/strong> movie, for crying out loud!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"WILD MOUNTAIN THYME I Official Trailer I Bleecker Street\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kadUgcIxODM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Well, it turns out the film is anything but your typical, hackneyed romantic comedy \u2014 at least not by the end.<\/p>\n<p>The premise of the film starts out cheesy enough: Blunt plays a farmer named Rosemary Muldoon, who has lived her entire life next to the farm of handsome neighbor Anthony Reilly, played by Dornan, in a turn about as far from Christian Gray as you could get. He\u2019s sweet and awkward \u2014 but he and Rosemary don\u2019t get along because of some childhood squabble. It takes the advances of hunky American <strong>Jon Hamm<\/strong> to make the neighbors finally realize they have loved each other all their lives. But there\u2019s still some secret keeping Anthony from asking Rosemary to marry him\u2026 It\u2019s all the ingredients for your classic rom-com.<\/p>\n<p>OK, seriously spoiler alert \u2014 if you have any interest in watching this bats**t movie, stop reading now, because you cannot UN-hear what we are about to tell you about this movie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Video: Leaked Audio Of Tom Cruise GOING OFF On Crew Members For Breaking COVID Protocols<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Are you ready? OK, we warned you.<\/p>\n<p>The secret? The reason Jamie Dornan\u2019s character can\u2019t seem to get out of his own way in order to just tell Emily Blunt he loves her and wants to be with her? HE ISN\u2019T HUMAN! At least, that\u2019s what he believes. He believes he is in fact, not a man, but a honey bee. We are not kidding. That is the twist of this completely insane movie. He thinks he\u2019s a bee. Don\u2019t believe us? Is this real??<\/p>\n<p>Yep. The last few minutes of the movie is Emily convincing Jamie he can still love and marry her despite thinking he\u2019s an insect.<\/p>\n<p>This is really what happens in\u00a0<em>Wild Mountain Thyme<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re wondering how big name actors could actually have signed on to such a clearly ridiculous project, well, the writer-director <em>is<\/em> acclaimed playwright <strong>John Patrick Shanley<\/strong>. He won an <strong>Oscar<\/strong> for writing\u00a0<em>Moonstruck<\/em> and also wrote and directed the cult classic <em>Joe Versus The Volcano<\/em>, which first brought together\u00a0<strong>Tom Hanks<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Meg Ryan<\/strong>. So maybe everyone just figured the man knows his rom-coms and just went with it??<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, critics aren\u2019t going with it. The film currently holds a not-so-honey-sweet 29% on <em>Rotten Tomatoes<\/em>. We highly recommend some of the reviews; it turns out this rom-com may in fact be this year\u2019s <em>Cats<\/em>.
